Core Group Ministry

Garden City Church is a church of groups. Small groups at GCC are not just one ministry among many, they are an essential part of who we are.  We are absolutely convinced that spiritual growth happens best in relationships where like-minded people inspire, encourage, and hold our feet to the fire.  As a result the whole process of growing spiritually is designed around our small group ministry.  We believe sharing life with others in the context of a small group is vital for spiritual growth.   Not only are small groups vital for growing spiritually, we believe they are biblical as well.  If you are not connected to a church family that is helping you grow as a follower of Christ, we have room for you in one of our groups.  What can you expect to find in a small group? You can expect:

Authenticity —People who are genuinely working out their faith together!

Sympathy — People entering in and sharing the pain of others!

Grace — People who are forgiving and kind!

Honesty — People who are transparent and open!

Humility — People who are down to earth.  No one is better than anyone else!

Courtesy — People who love and respect one another!

Confidentiality — People who keep a confidence.  What is said in the group stays in the group!

Accountability — People who hold one another accountable to God and each other!

Mutuality — People who share and no one dominates!

Frequency — People who meet regularly.  Each gathering begins and ends on time!
